Hendrik & Simone | Eigen Wijze

Hendrik and Simone’s wedding at Eigen Wijze in north Holland was really something out of a fairy tale. Their ceremony was situated in the beautiful medieval castle ruins of Kinder Burcht, with people gathered from near and far. Their vows made me cry, and gave me more insight into why I love to photograph weddings. Hendrik and Simone brought an incredible presence to their wedding, and left me with a reminder that I need to bring more presence into my life. Thank you, Hendrik and Simone, for the opportunity to meet you, to photograph you, and to share in the joy of your beautiful day. May your journey be filled with love and divinity.

Heleen & Joachim | Oranjerie Elswout

Heleen and Joachim had an amazingly fun wedding at Oranjerie Elswout in Haarlem. This was my first time photographing a Dutch Wedding. This was, however, not a traditional Dutch wedding, in the sense that the couple created an “American” theme for their reception. The idea for this was based on the fact that Joachim asked Heleen to marry him in New York City. It was so much fun I almost felt as if I wasn’t working at all (perhaps because I just had a baby and this was my first outing). Everyone was having a great time, and their friends and family were so nice and welcoming to myself and Ronny Rozenberg, who was second shooting with me. Thank you so much Heleen and Joachim. It was such a pleasure photographng your wedding. Wishing you both bliss.
